Relax Gaming released a new online slot game called Sloth Tumble.
As the name suggests, the game revolves around a sloth. Where it seems to be the animal is collecting or selling all sorts of fruits from its fruit stand. A bit of a nonsensical theme, but funny and colorful.
The game uses 6 reels that are each 6 symbols high. But part of the reels are blocked of during each initial spin, except during free spins. With an open grid of symbols you will have 46.656 ways.
Besides 4 low paying symbols and 4 high paying fruit symbols, you will also find the sloth as the highest paying symbol. The game doesn’t come with scatter or bonus symbols. Wild symbols are special symbols which appear as a full reel.

Tumbles and Blocks
Winning combinations are removed from the reels. And any locked blockx next to these winning symbols are now opened up. All remaining symbols fall down and new symbols fall on top. After this you can get another winning combination and open up more locked blocks. The process keeps repeating until no new winning combinations appear or when you have opened the entire grid and will enter free spins mode.
Most spins come with locked wooden blocks, but at random these might become frozen blocks, which matters for free spins.
Multipliers
Any symbol might appear with a multiplier, which will increase the number of ways.
Free Spins Features
There are two different free spins features on Sloth Tumble. Regular Free Spins and Super Free Spins.

When you manage to open the entire grid of wooden blocks, you will receive between 8 and 12 free spins randomly.

The different between normal and super free spins is that all multipliers from winning symbols are now collected on top and this multiplier will be active for all wins. This multiplier can only go up.
(When Super Spins are over you are, depending on how much you won, sometimes able to buy 1 extra spin with the current multiplier active)
Bonus Buy
For 100 times bet you are able to buy the Free Spins Feature. For 500 times bet you are able to buy the Super Free Spins Feature.
Verdict
Relax Gaming offers more of these games that open up the grid and that will trigger the bonus. Like for instance Temple Tumble. But this one does come with a much higher maximum payout.
The theme is fun and colorful and I think works.
I think the base game is fine, but you keep wanting to open up the screen to trigger those free spins. And of course, you want it when the blocks are frozen. Which doesn’t happen a lot, so triggering Super Free Spins is rare. But that’s exactly the feature you want. Because that’s the feature that can bring the massive wins. That increasing multiplier really makes a difference in how much you are awarded for a spin.
It’s good thing they added a bonus buy option, although I must admit, 500x bet is probably a bit high for most players to buy those Super Free Spins.
Overall it’s a fun game, but I do think it might not be for low bet casual players. It seems the game is more catered towards die hard slot fans. Especially with that massive maximum win of 100.000 times bet, which seems only achievable during Super Free Spins.
