In December 2024 NetEnt released a game called Dazzle Me Christmas.

Almost 10 years after the original Dazzle Me slot game. Back then there weren’t as many slot providers and almost every new NetEnt slot that they released was interesting and innovating. And so was Dazzle Me.

To game has Christmas in the name, but it seems that only the logo and maybe the free spins symbol on the game has somewhat of a Christmas feel. The rest seems to be the same as the original game.

You will find 5 reels which are 3, 3, 4, 4 and 5 symbols high and 76 paylines.

Besides low paying gem symbols you will also find bells and sevens. All symbols, except the scatter symbols can appear stacked on all reels. There are also wild symbols, but these only appear due to a special feature. Scatter symbols, which are Free Spins symbols, can appear on all reels.

Wild Reels

During any base spin, at random, Wild Reels might activate. Between 1 up to 5 reels will become completely wild.

Free Spins Feature

3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 8, 12 and 16 free spins respectively.

Scatter symbols can also appear with a multiplier, matching the reel it lands on, so reel 3 can have a x3 multiplier. Multiplier are added together when 3 or more scatter appear and this is also the multiplier that you will start with during free spins.

During free spins reels all become 5 symbols high. A general multiplier starts on x1, unless you triggered the free spins with multipliers. After each winning spin, the multiplier goes up by x1.

Also linked reels are active during free spins. Reels 1 and 2 and/or 3 and 4 spin simultaneously, so both linked reels will stop on the same symbols.

Verdict

Dazzle Me Christmas doesn’t impress as much as the original might have done.

The base game is pretty much the same as the original. Only the free spins feature has changed. With increasing multipliers. And of course you now also have the option to buy features. Which wasn’t a thing back the day.

The maximum payout is low. And that might have been good back in the day, but these days it just doesn’t excite anymore.

Overall I am not a big fan of this game. But I also wan’t a big fan of the original.
